Student Card Maker

Make front-and-back student cards (CR80) with a mandatory Issued-by school name, as PNG and print PDF.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — your input is processed on this device and discarded when you close the tab.

Make a student card

This card does not prove enrolment and is not an official student ID. It formats only what you type, for your own school or college use. It carries no seal, hologram, logo or verification mark.

Required. Type your own institution's name; the tool supplies no institution artwork.

Barcode (Code 39) is drawn only if every character is A–Z, 0–9 or - . space $ / + %. Otherwise the roll number is text only.

Your photo stays on this device and is never uploaded.

Misuse notice: make cards only for your own school or college use, with true details. A card made here does not prove enrolment. If you see this tool misused, report it via the site contact page.

Front + back, CR80 size (85.6 x 53.98 mm). Print the PDF at 100% (Actual Size) and check it with a ruler.

How to use the Student Card Maker

  1. Type the student's name and your school or college name. Both are required; the school name is the "Issued by" line on both sides of the card.
  2. Add class, roll number and session. Keep the roll number exactly as your school writes it — the barcode, when drawn, encodes those characters and nothing else.
  3. Add a photo if you want one. It is optional and stays on your device. A square, front-facing photo works best.
  4. Check the preview and the barcode note. If the note says no barcode, your roll number contains a character outside Code 39; the number still prints as text, unchanged.
  5. Download PNG for a single front image, or PDF for front + back at exact CR80 size, and print at 100%.

Limitations

This tool does not verify that a student is enrolled anywhere, does not contact any school, and cannot make a card official. It supplies no school logo, crest, seal or hologram, and it must not be used to imitate an official document or to claim a status the holder does not have. The barcode is a plain Code 39 encoding of the typed roll number; it links to no database and proves nothing on its own. Printers vary: a card printed at "Fit to page" will not be CR80 size, so print at 100% and measure.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official student ID?

No. It is a card formatted from what you type, for your own school use. Only your school or college can issue an official student ID.

What size is the card?

CR80: 85.6 x 53.98 mm, the ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 card size — the same footprint as a bank card. The PDF page is set to exactly that size.

What does the barcode contain?

Only the roll number you typed, encoded as Code 39. It is drawn only when every character is in the Code 39 set (A–Z, 0–9 and - . space $ / + %). Anything else is shown as text only, never altered to fit.

Is the photo uploaded?

No. The photo is drawn in your browser on your device. Closing the tab discards it.

Why is there no school logo or seal?

Deliberately. The tool must not supply institution artwork, seals or holograms, because those marks imply official issue. You type your institution's name; the design stays plain.

Can I make cards for a whole class?

One card at a time in this version. There is no bulk upload and no stored list of students; repeat the form for each card.
