Badge & Pass Designer

Design event badges with a free-text role, as PNG and vector PDF. No press passes, seals or holograms.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — your input is processed on this device and discarded when you close the tab.

Design an event badge

For your own events only. This badge identifies a person at an event you run. It is not an official pass, press credential or identity document, and it carries no seal or hologram.

Type any role in your own words. There is no preset list of official roles.

Barcode (Code 39) only if every character is A–Z, 0–9 or - . space $ / + %; otherwise text only.

Misuse notice: badges are for events you run, with true names and roles. Do not use them to impersonate staff, officials or press. If you see this tool misused, report it via the site contact page.

Print the PDF at 100% (Actual Size) and check it with a ruler.

How to use the Badge & Pass Designer

  1. Type the event name, the person's name and your organization. Name and organization are required.
  2. Type the role in your own words. There are no preset official roles to pick from, and nothing on the badge claims an official status.
  3. Pick a size and accent. CR80 fits standard badge holders; the 4 x 3 in size fits common conference holders. Keep the name large enough to read at a distance.
  4. Add a reference if you want a barcode. It encodes exactly what you type, when its characters allow; otherwise it prints as text.
  5. Download PNG for sharing or PDF for printing, and print at 100%.

Limitations

This tool makes one badge at a time; it does not import an attendee list, and it does not check anyone in at a door. The barcode is a plain Code 39 encoding of your reference, not a link to a registration system. There are no seals, holograms, lanyard graphics or official-style marks, by design. A badge printed at "Fit to page" will be the wrong size — print at 100% and measure.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a press pass here?

No. This tool has an event-badge mode only. The role is a free-text field you fill in yourself; there is no press or media mode and no preset official role.

What sizes are offered?

CR80 (85.6 x 53.98 mm, landscape), 4 x 3 in (101.6 x 76.2 mm) and 3 x 4 in portrait (76.2 x 101.6 mm). The PDF page is set to the exact size you choose.

What does the barcode contain?

Only the reference you typed, as Code 39, when its characters allow. It proves nothing on its own and links to no system.

Can I upload a logo?

Not in this version. You type your organization's name; the tool supplies no logo, seal or hologram artwork.

Can I make badges for a whole guest list?

One badge at a time in this version. There is no CSV import; repeat the form for each person.
