PDF Tools

Twenty-four single-job PDF tools, plus the all-in-one PDF Toolkit, that run entirely in your browser. PDF work usually means contracts, payslips, identity documents and signed forms — precisely the files that should not be copied onto a stranger's server in exchange for a page reorder — so every tool here reads your files on this device, processes them in memory, and hands the result straight back as a download. Nothing is uploaded, no account is asked for, and closing the tab destroys the only copy a tool ever held.

Each tool below does one job on its own page, with its steps, worked example and limits printed where you can read them before you start. If you would rather do several jobs in one sitting, the original PDF Toolkit keeps merge, split, rotate and reorder on a single page with one shared file list — it is linked at the end of every group it overlaps, and in its own strip below.

Convert

Change what a file is: images into PDFs, PDF pages into images or Markdown, photographed pages into a document, a web page into a PDF, and scanned pages into searchable text.

JPG to PDF

Combine up to 10 PNG, JPEG or WebP images into a single PDF with fit, A4 or Letter pages — built entirely in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

PDF to JPG

Turn each page of a PDF into a numbered JPG at your choice of DPI and quality — rendered entirely in your browser, zipped when there are several.

Image, PDF and Documents

Scan to PDF

Assemble up to 10 scanned or photographed pages into one PDF, with per-page rotation and a document-cleaning enhancement — all in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

HTML to PDF

Paste an HTML snippet and download an A4 PDF of its rendered appearance. Scripts are stripped first; everything runs in your browser.

PDF to Markdown

Convert a PDF's text layer to Markdown — headings from type size, lists from markers, paragraphs from gaps — entirely in your browser.

OCR PDF

Make scanned PDFs searchable: OCR in your browser adds an invisible text layer so find, select and copy work.

Image, PDF and Documents

Organize

Change the shape of a document: join files together, pull them apart, keep or drop chosen pages, shuffle pages on a thumbnail grid, and turn pages the right way up.

Merge PDF

Combine up to 10 PDFs into a single document, in list order, entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Image, PDF and Documents

Split PDF

Split one PDF by ranges, every N pages, or page by page. Multi-part results arrive as one ZIP, built in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Extract Pages

Extract pages like 3,1 or 1-3,5 from a PDF into one new file, in the order listed, processed in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Remove Pages

Remove pages like 2,4-6 from a PDF and keep the rest in order. Runs in your browser; removing every page is refused.

Image, PDF and Documents

Organize PDF

Reorder, rotate and delete PDF pages from a thumbnail grid, with drag and keyboard controls. Runs in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Rotate PDF

Rotate all pages or a chosen range by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, added to existing rotation. Runs in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Optimize

Make a document smaller or whole again: compress images and rebuild the file structure, or run basic repair on a file other programs refuse to open.

Compress PDF

Compress a PDF in your browser: keep text with a lossless re-save, or go smallest with page images. Real byte counts shown.

Image, PDF and Documents

Repair PDF

Repair a structurally damaged PDF in your browser — broken cross-reference rebuilt, metadata kept, pages reported.

Edit & Sign

Change what a page shows: add text, numbers and watermarks, crop the visible area, draw a signature, fill form fields, and compare two versions side by side.

Edit PDF

Overlay text, rectangles, lines and images onto any page of a PDF, placed by clicking a live preview — processed in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Add Page Numbers

Add "Page 2 of 3"-style numbers to a PDF in your browser, with six positions and a custom start count.

Image, PDF and Documents

Add Watermark

Add a translucent text watermark to a PDF in your browser — opacity, angle, size and tiled layout controls.

Image, PDF and Documents

Crop PDF

Crop PDF pages by setting margins in points or percent, in your browser. Honest note: a crop hides content, it does not delete it.

Image, PDF and Documents

Sign PDF

Place a drawn, typed or uploaded signature on a PDF page and flatten it into the page content — processed entirely in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Fill PDF Forms

Fill genuine AcroForm fields — text, checkboxes, dropdowns, radio groups and lists — with optional flattening, in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Compare PDF

Diff two PDFs page by page at word level: counts of added, removed and unchanged words, similarity scores and highlighted changes.

Image, PDF and Documents

Security

Control who can open a document and what survives sharing: add a password, remove one you know, and destroy chosen content before the file leaves your hands.

Protect PDF

Password-protect a PDF with AES encryption and set print, copy and edit permissions — all in your browser.

Image, PDF and Documents

Unlock PDF

Remove password protection from a PDF you own — enter a password that opens it, get a clean unprotected copy.

Image, PDF and Documents

Redact PDF

True redaction: pages with marked regions are rebuilt as images so covered text is removed, not hidden. Done in your browser.

The all-in-one alternative

Prefer everything on one page? The original PDF Toolkit merges, splits and rearranges with one shared file list — add your documents once, then merge them, extract from them, or rearrange their pages with thumbnails.

PDF Toolkit

Merge PDFs, extract or delete pages, rotate and reorder them — processed locally, never uploaded.

How processing works here

Files stay on your device

Your PDFs are read from your device, processed in this tab's memory, and returned as downloads. Nothing is sent to our server at any point — the tools work the same with the network disconnected once a page has loaded.

Limits are stated per tool

The real ceiling is your device's memory, so each page prints its caps up front — most tools accept up to 10 files and 50 MB in total — and refuses oversize work with an explanation instead of failing silently. The Tool Limitations page collects every limit in one place.

Results are downloads, nothing is stored

A finished file exists only where your browser saves downloads. We keep no copy, no history and no account record of what you processed, because the processing never reaches us.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. Every tool on this hub reads and processes your files inside your browser, using libraries served with the page. Nothing is transmitted to us, nothing is stored, and the tools keep working with the network disconnected once the page has loaded.

What are the file limits?

Each tool states its own limits on its page. Most tools in the suite accept up to 10 files totalling 50 MB, the caps the shared engine enforces before anything is read. OCR also downloads its recognition engine (about 6 MB) the first time you open that page — it is the only tool with an extra download, and its page says so.

What is the difference between the suite tools and the PDF Toolkit?

The PDF Toolkit is the original all-in-one workspace: merge, split, rotate and reorder share one file list on a single page. The suite tools each do one job on their own page, and add jobs the Toolkit does not cover — compression, OCR, watermarking, signing, form filling, redaction, protection and more. Both run entirely in your browser.

Can these tools edit the text inside a PDF?

The Edit PDF tool adds new text, images and shapes on top of a page as an overlay; it does not rewrite the text already in the file, and its page says so plainly. No tool here changes the words of the original document in place.

Do the tools work on a phone?

Yes — the pages and workspaces are responsive and every operation runs on the device in front of you. Very large documents are slower on a phone than on a desktop, because the processing power and memory are the device's own; the limits on each page are set with that in mind.
