Headline Score Analyzer

Heuristic only: this score is a transparent writing aid based on length, numbers, power words and word count. It is not a prediction of traffic, clicks or search rankings.

How to use this tool

  1. Type your headline and press Generate.
  2. Read the breakdown. Each part of the score is shown, so you can see which change would raise it.
  3. Use Load sample for “7 Simple Ways to Save Money Every Month”.

Worked example

For “7 Simple Ways to Save Money Every Month” the tool scores 70 out of 70: 25 for length (40 characters), 15 for containing a number, 15 for a power word (Simple), and 15 for word count (8 words).

What this tool does not do / Limits

The score is a fixed heuristic, not a measurement of real reader behaviour. A high score does not guarantee clicks or rankings, and a low score does not mean a headline is bad for every audience.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my score not 100?

The score adds fixed points for length, a number, a power word and word count. A headline can score below 100 while still being clear and accurate.

Can I use this score to predict traffic?

No. Traffic depends on topic, audience, placement and many other factors this tool does not measure.
