Worked example

For a bill of 100 split 50%, 30% and 20%, the shares are 100 × 0.50 = 50, 100 × 0.30 = 30 and 100 × 0.20 = 20.

What this tool does not do / Limits

This only divides the total you enter by the shares you enter. It does not add tax, tips, or service charges, and it does not round to coins, so small rounding differences can remain.
