Survey Response Analyzer

How to use this tool

  1. Enter the total number of survey responses.
  2. Enter how many were positive and how many were negative.
  3. Press Generate to see neutral count and the percentage share of each group.

Worked example

With 200 responses, 140 positive and 40 negative, neutral responses are 200 - 140 - 40 = 20, giving 70.00% positive, 20.00% negative and 10.00% neutral.

What this tool does not do / Limits

This summarises counts you enter. It does not judge survey quality, sampling bias or whether the question wording was fair.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as neutral?

Any response that is neither counted as positive nor as negative, including blank or middle answers you leave unclassified.

What if positive plus negative exceeds the total?

That means the counts are inconsistent, so the tool asks you to correct them.
