Structured Output Schema Builder
How to use this tool
- List one field per line as name, type and required or optional, separated by colons.
- Press Generate to see the JSON schema object.
- Use Load sample for a name and age example, or Clear to start again.
Worked example
For 'name:string:required' and 'age:number:optional', the schema is an object with a string property called name and a number property called age, and only name is listed as required.
What this tool does not do / Limits
This builder covers flat objects with six basic types only. It does not build nested objects, arrays of objects, enums or descriptions, and it does not validate data against the schema.
Frequently asked questions
Which types are supported?
String, number, integer, boolean, array and object. Anything else is treated as a string so the output stays valid.
What if I leave off required or optional?
The field is treated as optional and left out of the required list.
