Sensor Calibration Calculator
How to use this tool
- Enter the first calibration point: raw reading and true value.
- Enter the second calibration point the same way.
- Enter the raw reading to convert and press Generate.
Worked example
With calibration points (0, 0) and (100, 5), the slope is (5 - 0) / (100 - 0) = 0.05, so a raw reading of 40 converts to 0 + 0.05 x (40 - 0) = 2.
What this tool does not do / Limits
This is a linear two-point fit on the points you enter only. It assumes the sensor is linear between and beyond those points, which real sensors often are not, so verify against reference measurements before relying on it.
Frequently asked questions
What if my sensor is not linear?
A two-point line will be wrong away from the points; a multi-point calibration or a curve fit would be needed instead.
Can I convert readings outside the two points?
The tool will extrapolate, but results outside the calibrated range are less reliable.
