How to use this tool
- Enter the cost to acquire one customer.
- Enter monthly revenue per customer, gross margin and monthly churn rate.
- Press Generate to see lifetime value and the LTV to CAC ratio.
Worked example
With monthly revenue 50, margin 80% and churn 5%, LTV is 50 x 0.80 / 0.05 = 800. With a CAC of 200, the LTV to CAC ratio is 800 / 200 = 4:1.
What this tool does not do / Limits
This is an estimate, not financial advice. It assumes constant revenue, margin and churn for every customer, and it ignores expansion revenue, support costs beyond gross margin, and the time value of money.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good LTV to CAC ratio?
A ratio above 3:1 is often cited as healthy, but the right target depends on the business and its growth stage.
Why does churn matter so much?
Lower churn means customers stay longer, so each customer is worth more over their lifetime.
