Overall Equipment Effectiveness Calculator

How to use this tool

  1. Enter availability, performance and quality as percentages.
  2. Press Generate to see the OEE.
  3. Lower one figure at a time to see which loss hurts most.

Worked example

With availability 90%, performance 95% and quality 98%, OEE is 0.90 x 0.95 x 0.98 = 0.8379, or 83.79%.

What this tool does not do / Limits

This multiplies the three percentages you enter; it does not check how they were measured. Availability, performance and quality definitions vary between plants, so compare OEE only where the same definitions were used.

Frequently asked questions

What does OEE measure?

How much of planned production time actually produced good output, combining uptime, speed and quality losses.

Is 100% OEE realistic?

No: it would need zero downtime, full speed and zero defects at the same time, which real lines do not sustain.
