MCP Server Configuration Builder
Build an MCP server JSON snippet from your settings.
Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — your input is processed on this device and discarded when you close the tab.
MCP Server Configuration Builder
Snippet only: this tool writes JSON text for you to copy into your own configuration. It does not connect to, install or run any server.
How to use this tool
- Enter the server name and command, plus one argument per line if needed, then press Generate.
- Copy the JSON snippet into your own configuration file and adapt paths as needed.
- Use Load sample for a node server with a server.js argument.
Worked example
For server name “my-server”, command “node” and argument “server.js”, the tool builds JSON with mcpServers containing my-server, command node, and args ["server.js"].
What this tool does not do / Limits
This tool only formats JSON text. It does not check that the command exists, that paths are correct, or that the server works; test the configuration in your own setup.
Frequently asked questions
Does this install or run the server?
No. It only produces JSON text; you place it in your own configuration and run the server yourself.
What if my command needs environment variables?
Add them by editing the copied JSON; this tool covers name, command and arguments only.
