How to use this tool

- Enter the total break minutes taken during that shift.

Worked example
For an 8-hour shift with 60 minutes of breaks, the net work time is 8 - 1 = 7 hours, and breaks are 60 / 480 = 12.5% of the shift.
What this tool does not do / Limits
This tool subtracts the break minutes you enter. It does not apply any labour law, does not set how many breaks a shift must include, and does not record attendance.
Frequently asked questions
Does it split breaks into lunch and rest breaks?
No. It only needs the total break minutes, however they are split.
Can break minutes exceed the shift?
The tool will still subtract them, giving a negative net time, which is a sign the inputs need checking.
