How to use this tool
- Enter how many dice to roll and how many sides each has.
- Press Generate to roll.
- Use Load sample for two six-sided dice, or Clear to start again.
Worked example
Two six-sided dice can total anything from 2 to 12; for example, rolls of 3 and 4 give a total of 7. Because rolls are random, no single result is guaranteed.
What this tool does not do / Limits
This is a casual random roller using the browser's Math.random, not a certified random source, and it is not suitable for gambling, lotteries or any draw that needs audited randomness.
Frequently asked questions
Are the dice fair?
Each die uses one random number spread evenly across its sides, so every face has the same chance on each roll, within the limits of the browser's generator.
Can I roll one die with 20 sides?
Yes. Set the dice count to 1 and the sides to 20, or any side count from 2 to 100.
