CSV to iCloud Contacts VCF Converter

This page only makes a .vcf file on your device. It does not open, read or change any iCloud account or contact list — you import the downloaded file yourself in Contacts.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste contacts as CSV with headers First, Last, Email, Phone and optionally Org.
  2. Press Convert and download to get a .vcf file with one vCard per row.
  3. Use Load sample for one contact, Ana Ray.

Worked example

The sample row Ana, Ray, ana@example.com, +4712345678 produces one vCard: BEGIN:VCARD, VERSION:3.0, FN:Ana Ray, N:Ray;Ana;;;, EMAIL:ana@example.com, TEL:+4712345678, END:VCARD. A second row would add a second vCard block to the same file.

What this tool does not do / Limits

The file is a standard vCard 3.0 text file. It is not an iCloud sync: importing is a separate step you do in your own Contacts app, and duplicate handling there is up to that app. Columns beyond First, Last, Email, Phone and Org are ignored, and rows with no name and no email are skipped.

Frequently asked questions

Does this add contacts to my iCloud?

No. It only downloads a file. You import that file in Contacts yourself, which is where any account change happens.

Which columns are used?

First, Last, Email, Phone and Org. Header names are matched case-insensitively.
