Angle Converter

How to use this tool

  1. Enter an angle and pick its unit.
  2. Press Convert to see it in degrees, radians, gradians and turns.
  3. Use the radians value directly in code or trigonometry, where radians are standard.

Worked example

180 degrees converts to 3.141593 radians (π), 200 gradians and 0.5 turns — a half circle in every unit.

What this tool does not do / Limits

Results are rounded to six decimal places, so radians for familiar angles (like π) are decimal approximations, not exact symbolic values. Negative angles and angles above 360 degrees are converted as given, not normalised.

Frequently asked questions

What is a gradian?

A gradian divides a right angle into 100 parts, so a full circle is 400 gradians. It is used in some surveying work but is rare elsewhere.

What is a turn?

One full rotation: 360 degrees, 2π radians or 400 gradians.
