Acronym Extractor
How to use this tool
- Paste your text into the box.
- Press Extract to list every acronym found.
- Read the full-form column: it is filled only when the text itself gives the expansion in brackets.
Worked example
The sample text yields NASA — National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and ESA — European Space Agency, two acronyms with their full forms.
What this tool does not do / Limits
Only capital-letter runs of two or more letters are treated as acronyms, so mixed-case abbreviations and single letters are missed. A full form is only shown when it appears immediately before the acronym in brackets; the tool never guesses an expansion.
Frequently asked questions
Why is a normal capitalised word not listed?
Because a single capital followed by lower-case letters is an ordinary word, not an acronym; only all-capital runs qualify.
Can it expand an acronym I did not define?
No — inventing an expansion would risk a wrong one, so undefined acronyms are listed with no full form.
